Patient Information, Visiting Guidelines, Hours & General Information

Mask Policy

Effective Friday, April 18, 2025, UNC Health Rockingham is updating our mask policy for patients and visitors to transition to "Mask Optional" in most areas, with the following exceptions:
  • Patients who have symptoms of respiratory illnesses must wear a mask.
    • Note: Individuals with respiratory symptoms should not visit our facilities unless seeking direct medical care.

This policy may continue to evolve as we monitor the data related to respiratory virus transmission levels and workforce needs.

General Visiting Hours

Visitors are welcome from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Those under the age of 18 are discouraged from visiting due to safety and infection control risks. In an effort to maintain a calm and restful environment, all visitors are asked to minimize noise levels throughout the hospital. To give our patients a dedicated time for rest, we observe quiet hours every afternoon between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
