North Carolina law requires that your newborn be transported in an infant car seat. If you do not have a car seat in which to transport your baby from the hospital to your home, please talk to your nurse. Learn more about car seat regulations in North Carolina.
For your protection, the hospital conducts fire and disaster drills regularly. If a drill occurs while you are here, please remain in your room and do not become alarmed. The hospital is a fire-resistant building, and the staff is trained in fire protection.
The campus of UNC Rockingham Health Care is smoke-free. No one is allowed to smoke or use any tobacco products on campus. Learn more about how to quit smoking.
If equipment in your room (television, toilet, bed, etc.) needs repair, you may contact the maintenance department at extension 2274 or tell your nurse.
If you or your family have any safety concerns, please contact the Safety Officer at 336-627-6187.
Do not keep checks, credit cards, jewelry or cash with you. If you brought any valuables to the hospital, please ask a family member to take them home or you may request your nurse put them in a secured valuables locker. The hospital is not responsible for any patient or visitor belongings.
