UNC Health Rockingham and UNC Health Chatham Welcome Kevin Kilday as Chief Financial Officer

UNC Health Rockingham and UNC Health Chatham are pleased to welcome Kevin Kilday in a joint role as Chief Financial Officer of both entities. In this role, Kilday will provide strategic financial leadership for both hospitals, supporting operational performance, long-term planning and continued efforts to strengthen access to high-quality care throughout the communities they serve.
 
“Kevin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of financial leadership in both rural and complex health care organizations,” said Dr. Jeff Strickler, president of UNC Health Rockingham and UNC Health Chatham. “His ability to connect financial strategy with operational excellence and patient care will be an asset to our hospitals and the communities we serve.”
 
Kilday joins UNC Health with more than 20 years of experience as a chief financial officer. The majority of his career has been spent in the Massachusetts health care market, where he held financial leadership roles with organizations including Lahey Clinic and Boston Children's Hospital. He also previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona. Kilday earned both a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Sector Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston University, graduating cum laude.
 
Throughout his career, Kilday has developed extensive expertise in financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle optimization and supply chain management. He is known for his data-driven approach to leadership and his belief that meaningful improvement begins with measuring performance. He enjoys collaborating with clinical operations teams to identify opportunities that enhance service delivery, improve patient access and strengthen operational effectiveness across the organization.
 
Kilday is passionate about working closely with clinical and operational leaders to identify opportunities that enhance service delivery, improve efficiency and support exceptional patient care. He is also recognized for his ability to translate financial data into a compelling story, helping internal and external stakeholders understand the impact of strategic decisions and organizational performance.

Kevin and his wife, Cindy, along with their dog, Nola, are looking forward to becoming part of the North Carolina community.
