Program Support Funds

You have the opportunity to designate how your gift will be used in support of specific UNC Health Rockingham programs or services that are the most meaningful to your and your family. You may also choose to leave a gift undesignated, allowing the gift to be used in the area of greatest need as identified by hospital leadership. Current program funds include:

Grateful Patient and Families Program

The Grateful Patient and Families Program is an ideal giving opportunity for those who have received outstanding customer service, great patient care, or a special act of kindness during their experience at our hospital. Donors may choose to honor anyone on our team, including nurses, doctors, assistants, housekeepers, food service or volunteers.

Marguerite B. Walker Memorial Garden

The Marguerite B. Walker Memorial Garden, located just to the west of the Main Entrance, is a place of reflection and respite for our visitors. The garden, a gift from Barney and Jimmy Walker, was established during the hospital's 50th Anniversary and pays tribute to their mother, Marguerite. Donors may honor or memorialize friends and family with an engraved brick.

Tree of Hope at UNC Cancer Care at Rockingham

The Tree of Hope provides a beautiful welcome to visitors as they enter UNC Cancer Care at Rockingham, A Service of UNC Hospitals. The purchase of a Tree of Hope leaf or stone offers a way to pay tribute to friends, family, and those who have supported the treatment journey of our patients.
